| Notes |
1st time nightdive in the Grevelingen. It was so extremely great! So much to see! Visibility was also very good. Laane did the navigation.
De Kabbelaar is an ideal spot for nightdiving, since there is good lighting on the parking, which makes it easy to gear-up. Since there is also a restaurant and hotel nearby, people can watch your car, which increases security of your stuff while underwater.
Visibility was very good. Many animals were seen, like crabs, eels, lobsters, many fish. Fighting crabs, a bigger fish (donderpad) with a smaller one in his mouth, crabs eating clamps. Big donderpad-like fish, also some orange-purpleish fish, which do not seem to be scared at all. Also quite a few small jellyfish (zeedruif) were seen. These look very nice, since the refraction of the light of the divelight inside some parts of the body of the fish looks really cool. A little bit like landing lights.
Overall, a really great dive! We definetely should repeat this dive.
Although I've been not diving for a while |
