Why?

Why scuba diving?

Scuba diving is just extreme fun.

Fun
Because it is both exciting and relaxing at the same time. It also allows you to visit those underwater places that are otherwise hidden from you. Once below the water surface, you truly enter a completely new world. Everything is different: moving, hearing, seeing, breathing. And the inhabitants of this world are also very different. You see so many different shapes, colors, textures that it almost looks endless. It is also very interesting to see how underwater life is so very well adapted to this completely different environment. Last but not least it also allows you to visit underwater wrecks and caves.

Extreme
Because you enter a very hostile and unforgiving environment. Your safety relies on your equipment and you really have to trust your equipment. If it malfunctions, you have a big problem and very serious injury may occur. This makes it dangerous but also very exciting. Obviously, training and standardized procedures prepares you to deal with those problems underwater and greatly reduces the risks. Therefore, good training is mandatory.

A note before you begin with scuba diving: it can be VERY addicting! Trust me on that one!
